Hello everyone, i am a woman from the Netherlands and i found this way of eating on a site called the paleo perspectif. This monday (20/08) i started cold turkey. The first two days where fine, now at this moment i am hungry and i am drinking a lot of tea and water! I won't eat! My eating window is from 17.00 till 22.00. Because at the moment this is the best time for me i geuss. Maybe in the future i change it to an other time...
On monday my weight was 79 kilo and today it was 78,3 kilo...but that's water i think...
I will try to keep this thread up to date. (and sorry for my english)

I am also from the Netherlands. I am also eating paleo/whole foods and joined Fast 5 2 weeks ago. So far loving it (doing it for health reasons but losing weight is a nice bonus).

Fast 5 is working great for me, but as you can read on FB it is my environment who wants me to eat all the time.....everybody eats all the time, haha.
But Fast-5 is also great for my emotional eating issues. I tend to eat when I am tired, bored etc. Now I just don't eat but I notice the urge to wanting to eat. Now I feel whatever I feel and the urge to eat subsides.
Have you told people that you are doing Fast-5? My boyfriend knows it and supports me and that is enough for me. :-)

This is my 5th day. And it is going ok. I have changed my window a little bit from 17.00 to 16.30 till 21.30. Today i had diffelculty to eat right. So i begun with macadamia nuts but then i ate mm's and candy...after that i have made a smoothie from pineapple, watermelon, strawberry's and some banana. And now i feel a little bit sick...well it was stupid but i hope it will get better...
This morning my weight was 77.6kg (this monday it was 79kg) but i don't know if its water or already fet. I still like the fasting. I get a little bit hungry in the morning after an hour but i am busy with the kids so that goes by without any suffering...in the afternoon i get more hungry around 14.00-15.00. So maybe i have change my window or i have to get use to the window i now have...i like the window i have (16.30-21.30) i eat something at 16.30 and then i eat with my husband and children around 18.00-18.30 and later in the evening a little snack.
Tomorrow i celebrate my birthday from 14.00 till 18.00-19.00 so i hope i won't/will not eat untill 16.30! I do my best!

I found the Fast-5 information also from the Melchior Meijer blog, and jumped without hesitating into it within 24 hrs.
Now appr. 2 weeks with a feeding window (due to my activities) between 15.00 / 20.00 hr. Lost 2 kilo and feeling great! Started around 115 kilo - my Fast-5 Road Trip is very different then yours. For me beating my diabetes2 is the most important thing at this moment.
My daughters are 12 and 14, so I'm starting to be succesful in getting rid of M&M's, chips, candy's and other totally unnecessairy stuff from our home. Our first goal was getting rid of all those softdrinks...now working on getting more fruit and vegetables on our plates. It's a hell of a job, but enjoy every moment!

Hi Gerard! We could write dutch! I know you from the Yvonne Lemmers forum. I thought it was working for you but it didn't?
This afternoon i was very hungry from 13.30 that is lunch time for me..but i didn't eat. At 16.00 i got really hungry and it was a struggle for to 16.30 but i made it. I ate a slice of my homemade applepie. I made that for the people in our store...at home i ate whole rice with chicken en vegetables and satésaus (something dutch) and kroepoek (i don't know the english word for that) and a little piece of chocolate 72%
Eventually i would like to weigh 65 kg with a height of 169 cm but most of the my body stops at 73 kg...so maybe that weight is good for me. We'll see...
And you go Gerard, you can do it!

Incredible that you still remember me from the YL forum, I will PM you tomorrow!
YL has pointed me to low carb eating, but everyday was a struggle as I permitted myself too much.
My ongoing reseach on the internet led me to paleo, that's where I'm now working on, in combination with IF.
Still believe YL is doing a great job, will let you know tomorrow!
Fast-5 is so terrible easy for me, as there's no space for concessions. It's all or nothing. And nothing means 19 hours nothing. My body does resist at certain moments (mostly around 10.00 - 12.00 AM) but after that - the last three hours before "breakfast" my body feels very good. And....low (read normal) bloodsugar levels!
I'm now working on my personal system, with maximum result regarding my diabetes. And every pound less is a step further in my victory regarding this diabetes. Now also trying to raise the quality of my food intake in this 5 hours, so I will get all the things I (my body) needs.
It's a great journey....

It's not that amazing Gerard. Because i read your comments on YL and i liked them very much. You can write very well...
Today is my 7th day of the fast 5! It will be a little difficult maybe but we will see...
I want to eat good food in my window but i love the fact you can eat something you really want. As long i won't binge eat i will eat good food in my window but also some bad. But this is now maybe when i get more used to this i will eat better...more balanced. More like YL again...
