New member, curious about this

I found this via MDA. I lost 50 lbs about 10 years ago and have maintained that, using the South Beach diet, more or less. By more or less, the way I got that diet to work was to not eat the mandatory snacks, and skip breakfast or lunch in a sort of random way, and by staying on the phase one part of the diet, meaning no breads, fruit or starchy veggies. I tended to eat a lot in the evening, but since I was not really paying attention to that, only that I was basically eating twice, and sometimes not until 2 pm and then again at 7 pm. However I did drink copious amts of coffee with 1% milk. Since switching to Paleo/Primal, I have switched to milk to heavy cream and dropped all other dairy. I cannot stomach black coffee and do not like tea.

My curiosity is about whether what I did was some sort of accidental IF, and how it worked with the 8 or so oz. of milk spread out in the first few hrs after arising. That milk added up to a good 20 or so grams of lactose which I am not doing any more. Just about 2 tbsp pure fat. This cream thing is a huge obstacle for me to try fast-5. To be honest I just do not think I can give up my coffee. I know can lose wt since i have done so in the past with some coffee with milk on a variation of a 2-7 pattern but want to try this plan. I'm not eating any grains, sugars, fruits or garbage foods, only clean paleo with this one tiny 50 or so kcal of fat.
