I love Fast-5 for the simplicity it brings to my life. For a few years, I've been downsizing and finding ways to surround myself with only the things that bring me happiness (family photos, bright colors, etc.)
Before Fast-5, I was craving sugar and couldn't seem to get enough food to satisfy me. Fast-5 makes me feel normal so I can focus on enjoying life. I have more time and energy for walks around the lake, planning yummy meals for my family, and just plain living.
Because I eat less, I also spend less, which is another bonus.

Hi Susie. Yes - simplicity is one of the things I like about this approach. I have been finding more time to walk my dog (who also needs to lose some weight).
I am pretty new to this (8 weeks) but I'm noticing the same things. I am still buying too much food -- my veggies go bad before I get a chance to eat them.
I am also noticing that some of the good-for-you-but-annoying tasks (exercise, flossing, cleaning the house, etc.) have become a pleasure to do. I'm finding happiness in taking better care of myself and those around me. This is still a work in progress, mind you...
:)

Suzie,
I'm just getting started with this new approach to eating, and living.
Your post makes sense to me, and really gave me encouragement.
Thanks,

"makes me feel normal so I can focus on enjoying life. I have more time and energy for walks around the lake, planning yummy meals for my family, and just plain living."
This is how i feel as well. I feel freedom from not obsessing on food, meals, and eating all i can. I have spent the weekend painting the living room, spending time with my family, and have ENERGY.
I am also using Fast-5 as an austerity measure.
Instead of cooking and picking up after all the meals, More time for Useful, necessary activities.
Try picking up the book "Power of Now" and "Way of the peaceful warrior" for more simplicity and mindfulness information.
"Do something. Either LEAD, follow, or...get out of the way."
